 Part 2: William Trickey Jr (c1801 - 1847)

Early life and marriage to Honnor Palmer

William Trickey was the fourth child of William Trickey Sr and Mary Harding. He was born c1801 and baptised 13 November 1803 at St Augustine the Less Parish Church, Bristol. His family were living at Lamb Street at the time. William was a builder and in business with his father at 35 College Street by 1839. He married widow Honnor Palmer (c1796 - 1842) 02 April 1839 at St Paul Parish Church, Bristol. It is not known why they married twelve years after the birth of their only child, William.

Honnor was born c1796, the daughter of James Palmer. She had married James Morgan 30 December 1811 at St Philip and St Jacob Parish Church and they had three children: John Palmer, James William and Elisabeth. James was a cooper, according to the baptism record of his son James and they were known to have lived in Denmark Street. A James Morgan aged 46 was buried in St Nicholas 16 July 1825 and it is quite possible this was Honnor's first husband. Honnor died 24 October 1842 at College Street, '... the beloved wife ...' (as reported by 'The Bristol Mercury' 05 November).

Marriage to Ann Davis

William married Ann Davis (? - ?) 09 December 1845 at St Paul's Church, Bristol. Nothing is known of Ann. William died 01 March 1847 '... at his residence, aged 45 ...' (as reported by 'The Bristol Mercury' 06 March).

Children of Honnor and James Morgan

John Palmer (c1812 - 1819) who was born c1812 and baptised 10 July 1812 at St Nicholas Parish Church. Sadly he died aged seven and was buried 24 August 1819 at St Nicholas.

James William (c1816 - 1816) was born c1816 and baptised 21 April 1816 at St Philip and St Jacob Parish Church, Bristol. Sadly he died later that same year (apparently aged one) and was buried 11 November 1816 at the same church.

Elisabeth (c1819 - ?) was born c1819 and baptised 18 July 1819 at  St Philip and St Jacob Parish Church, Bristol. Nothing else is known of her and it is possible she died young.

 Children of William and Honnor

More information about William (c1827 - ?) appears in Part 3. [1]
