 Part 3: William Trickey III (c1827 - ?)

Early life and marriage to Agnes Bryant

William Trickey appears to have been the only child of William Trickey Jr and Honnor Palmer. He was born c1827 and baptised 15 March 1829 at St James Parish Church, Bristol. By the age of 14 he was a carpenter, like his father, and living with the family in College Street. Only a few doors away lived the family of Edward Bryant and William married their eldest daughter, Agnes Bryant, 07 September 1848 at St Stephen's Parish Church. He was living in St George's Brandon Hill Parish at the time of his marriage but moved back to live at his father's former home. Their only child, Agnes Elizabeth, was born 19 February 1850 but sadly her mother Agnes died a fortnight later, 06 March 1850, having suffered apoplexy.

The last record of William Trickey III was in the 1851 census when he was still living at 35 College Street, now a commission agent employing four men. His daughter was living with her Bryant grandparents at the time and was brought up by them, suggesting William might have died young or was not able to care for her.
