Part 1: Joseph Davis (1834 - 1910)

Joseph Davis was born 07 August 1834 in County Wexford, Ireland. His father was also called Joseph Davis but his mother's name is unknown. Joseph Jr married Isabella Scully 07 May 1857 at St Patrick's Church, Wexford City. Isabella was born 15 June 1832 and her father was Robert Scully. Nothing else is known of the Scully family.

Joseph and Isabella had eight known children: Joseph Robert (1858 - 1910), Thomas (1860 - 1926), Robert William (c1862 - ?), William John (c1864 - ?), Jane Anne (c1866 -?), Isabella (1869 - ?), Mary Anne (1871 - ?) and John Joseph (1873 - ?). The family emigrated to Canada between 1874 and 1881 and lived in the St Stephen's Ward of Toronto (to the west) where Joseph was a shoemaker. The family were Protestant (Church of England). Isabella died 23 March 1906, aged 73, and Joseph 08 March 1910, aged 75.
