 Part 1: John Brady Sr (? - ?)

Family life

Nothing is known of John Brady Sr's life except that he had four children: Michael, John, Peter and Catherine. Who their mother was is unknown and there may have been other children but these are the only four who appear in any records so far. The family lived in County Longford, Ireland, but the four children all emigrated to England and were lodging together in Tee Street, Prescot, Lancashire in the 1851 England Census. It is not known if John Brady Sr ever came with them.

Michael (c1828 - ?) worked as a bricklayer labourer after he emigrated to England. He was lodging in Mug House Yard, Prescot, in 1861 but none of his siblings were there. It is not known what happened to him after 1861.

Peter (c1835 - ?) worked as a hawker in Prescot. It is not known what happened to him after 1851.

Catherine (c1837 - ?) worked as a house servant in Prescot. In 1861, she was a servant to a family at 22 Harmer Street, St Helens, Lancashire. It is not known what happened to her after 1861.
